Look what got finished this rainy weekend!  I think I started this in 2008..maybe earlier.  It was a kit I got as a gift several years previously.  A fun addition to the living room.

Green Pearls

A triple strand of green pearls in three diameters for my sister on the occasion of the big 4-0.  I finally got a new bead board (some giant black dog stepped on mine) to layout the leftovers for a single strand for myself.  I got the beads on a trip to WA in Sept/Oct 2014 at Shipwreck Beads.  The store is amazing.

More Thank You Notes

Wedding Thank you notes

Home made thank you notes in same octopus theme as wedding.  Simple blank cards I had on hand (thank you JJR!).  Blue report covers I had on hand as well, cut to size.  Fiskars textured scissors used to turn the straight edges into waves.  Simple Thank you stamp on the front and octopus stamp bought online (probably etsy knowing me) and standard office blue ink pad.  Stamped back of envelopes as well.  Like a mark of success.  Because it always takes longer than you expect to get them out the door.

Flannel Woodland Blanket

For my co-worker and friend James for his sweet (giant) son Jasper.  Can you tell his dad is a geologist?  Pieced strips of coordinating flannel backed with owl flannel print.  I made it extra large so I ended up quilting it a 1/4 inch from the ditch along  the strips.  No batting.  Pleased with the results all around.
