Another Pink Tutu
I've been really slow getting Christmas out the door this year. I failed to get a picture of the other gifts I sent to my sister, but maybe she will take some and send to me......
I made this bright pink tutu for my youngest niece, who is still in pink tutu phase. She may never actually exit that phase. This one has two folded layers (for a total of four layers) of tulle, which created a nice pocket suitable for filling with pom poms. There are small white ones and slightly larger metallic shiney pastel ones. I actually went back to the store and doubled the amount once I had them in there. I hear that she wanted more and wanted to be able to remove them to play with them. The waist is elasticized and encased in matching satin ribbon. A very fun piece to create.

Can you share your pattern with me? Madeleine would love a "dancing" skirt like this for her dance cwlass (aka toddler speak for dance class).
ReplyDeleteSo cute, awesome Auntie!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pattern, just asked my sister to measure my niece's waist. I cut the elastic a little shorter and gathered the top.
